BJP national president Nitin Nabin expressed confidence that the BJP would form a government in Jammu and Kashmir soon, similar to its success in Jammu. Nabin, on his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir as party president, highlighted the significance of the birth anniversary of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, a key figure for the BJP. He emphasized Mookerjee’s role in advocating for Jammu and Kashmir’s integration with India.
Nabin underscored the BJP’s commitment to Mookerjee’s ideals and his sacrifice in 1953, which continues to inspire the party. He linked the future of Jammu and Kashmir to the national vision of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nabin stressed the importance of unity, discipline, and grassroots support for the BJP’s growth in the region, setting the stage for a significant two-day tour.
The visit coincided with the conclusion of the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Pakhwada, a nationwide observance honoring Mookerjee’s legacy. Nabin participated in various events, including paying tribute to Mookerjee and holding organizational meetings. The tour agenda included visits to religious sites and engagements with party members and leaders, culminating in a youth-focused event to energize the party’s young cadre.
