Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that the Congress chose V.D. Satheesan as Kerala’s Chief Minister under pressure from the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). Poonawalla criticized the Congress, calling it the “Islamic National Caliphate” and accusing it of being anti-Hindu.
According to Poonawalla, the Congress High Command in Delhi selected Satheesan due to influence from the Muslim League and the Jamaat. He claimed that the Muslim League aims to establish a Muslim Islamic Republic with the current government in power in Kerala.
Poonawalla urged the Congress to change its name from Indian National Congress to Islamic National Caliphate, alleging the party’s alignment with the Muslim League. He reiterated the BJP’s accusation of Congress being anti-Hindu, especially in light of the Bhojshala verdict.
Poonawalla criticized Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for alleged communal remarks and accused him of representing the party’s anti-Hindu stance. He also targeted Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee for provoking the public with his statements against the BJP-led Centre.
