BJP National Spokesperson R.P. Singh emphasized the transformative impact of the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar on Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region (NCR). Singh stated that the airport would serve as a vital connectivity hub for North India, offering new travel routes. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s effective law and order management was credited by Singh for the absence of any untoward incidents during the airport’s development.
Chief Minister Adityanath disclosed that a request had been made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the Noida International Airport on March 28. Adityanath highlighted the significance of the airport in enhancing national and international air connectivity, noting Uttar Pradesh’s existing airport infrastructure and the economic benefits expected from the new airport at Jewar. The Chief Minister projected a substantial income of Rs 1 lakh crore for the state government through the airport’s operations.
The Noida International Airport in Jewar, situated in Gautam Buddha Nagar, is a significant greenfield project that will link the NCR and western Uttar Pradesh with key domestic and international destinations. The airport’s development focuses on providing top-notch facilities blending Swiss efficiency with Indian hospitality. The project is planned in four phases, with the initial phase already completed, featuring a runway and a passenger terminal with a capacity of around 12 million passengers annually. Subsequent phases aim to increase the airport’s capacity to 70 million passengers per year.
