BJP State President and MLA, B.Y. Vijayendra, criticized the Karnataka government, labeling it as ‘anti-Hindu’ and ‘anti-farmer.’ He expressed intentions to protest against what he perceives as minority appeasement policies. Vijayendra highlighted a rise in violence against Hindus since the Congress assumed power in the state.
Vijayendra cited specific incidents of violence, including attacks on individuals like Lohith Kurubar and Shivaji Rao. He announced plans for a significant protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru involving various BJP members against the government’s alleged ‘anti-farmer’ stance. The BJP leader also criticized Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s land acquisition plans in Bidadi.
Accusing the government of neglecting farmers’ issues, Vijayendra emphasized the need for proactive measures to address agricultural challenges. He criticized the delay in appointing an Agriculture Minister and raised concerns about the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Additionally, Vijayendra opposed the establishment of Karnataka’s second international airport near Kanakapura, suggesting an alternative location near Tumakuru.
