Vijayendra criticized the Congress party for belittling women’s reservation, citing derogatory remarks by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and others. He highlighted PM Modi’s global acknowledgment of women’s significance in shaping nations and lauded his unwavering commitment to their empowerment.
The BJP leader emphasized the pivotal role women will play in India’s development by 2047, noting the realization of a long-awaited dream for women in the country. He also acknowledged PM Modi’s recognition of all political parties’ contributions to implementing women’s reservation.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and MP, Govind Karjol, and BJP Mahila Morcha leaders joined Vijayendra in celebrating the significant decision to grant 33% reservation for women. Meanwhile, Padma Shri awardee Dr. S.G. Susheelamma expressed joy over the fulfillment of the demand for increased women’s reservation under PM Modi’s leadership.
Dr. Susheelamma highlighted women’s achievements across various fields and stressed the importance of enhanced political representation for their empowerment. She praised the Prime Minister’s initiatives like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ for uplifting women and fostering their participation in societal development.
The Padma Shri awardee urged women to seize active roles in governance, emphasizing that increased representation would amplify their voices and drive holistic progress. She called for support for PM Modi’s endeavors in advancing women’s empowerment, citing the transformative impact of greater female participation in legislative bodies.
