BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra recently took part in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Maha Sampark Abhiyan in Karnataka. This campaign aims to raise awareness about the ongoing revision of electoral rolls. Vijayendra visited households in the Hebbal Assembly constituency, engaging with party workers and residents to explain the importance of the SIR exercise.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is conducting the Maha Sampark Abhiyan on July 25 and 26 across Karnataka. The goal is to ensure that voters are well-informed about the electoral roll revision process. Each key party worker has been tasked with visiting 20 households to confirm if residents have received their enumeration forms.

During the outreach program, several senior BJP leaders and party officials were present. S. Dattatri, the convenor of the SIR Maha Abhiyan and BJP’s State Coordinator for Party Cells, emphasized that party workers are visiting at least 10 households daily. They are spending time with voters to explain the next steps after the draft electoral rolls are published.

BJP has been training its leaders and workers on the SIR process for the past six months. Additionally, they have appointed an individual in charge for each Assembly constituency to supervise SIR-related activities. Voters are required to complete enumeration forms and submit them to Booth Level Officers (BLOs). Despite training on form completion, there is still confusion among voters about the process. The primary objective is to reach every household and provide accurate information.

Legislators, former Zilla Panchayat members, former MLAs, former Members of the Legislative Council, and other current and former public representatives are actively involved in the campaign across the State.
