BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra reached out to Kannadigas stuck in Dubai amidst the US, Israel, and Iran conflict. He promised to liaise with the Central government to facilitate the safe return of 61 individuals stranded in Dubai after a canceled flight. Vijayendra mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is actively addressing the situation and assured the group of necessary actions to ensure their safe repatriation.
Indians, including many Kannadigas, who were marooned in the UAE due to flight disruptions caused by the conflict between Israel and Iran, have started returning home. The Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru has established a dedicated Help Desk at Terminal 2 to aid affected passengers during the flight chaos. A flight from Dubai landed safely at the airport, carrying passengers like Karnataka Legislative Council member S.L. Bhojegowda and badminton player P.V. Sindhu.
Amid the crisis, the Kannadigas Helpline team, led by non-resident Kannadiga patron Ronald Colaco, offered assistance to those stranded in Dubai. The team gathered information on the affected individuals and appealed for urgent government support, offering to cover emergency expenses and medical needs. Stranded Kannadigas in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and other UAE regions were advised to seek help from the helpline for support.
