Criticizing the unruly behavior of AAP workers at BJP offices in Punjab, BJP working chief Ashwani Sharma condemned the attack and accused the police of acting under political pressure. Sharma, along with state media head Vineet Joshi, accused the AAP government of misusing state machinery and diverting attention from corruption allegations against its leaders. Referring to recent ED action against a Cabinet minister, Sharma emphasized that the corrupt system of the AAP government is under threat, not democracy or Punjab itself.
Drawing parallels with West Bengal, Sharma accused the AAP government of trying to instigate fear and political violence in Punjab. He criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for making irresponsible statements on national security and terrorism, highlighting the dangers of politicizing such sensitive issues. Sharma reiterated the BJP’s focus on development, farmers’ welfare, a debt-free Punjab, and a drug-free society, urging the government to prioritize governance over vendetta and propaganda.
Sharma warned against intimidating opposition voices and emphasized that BJP workers would continue fearlessly raising concerns for Punjab and its people.
