BJP West Bengal President, Samik Bhattacharya, announced that all arrangements for the new state government formation are finalized, calling it a festive moment for West Bengal residents. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow at 10 A.M., with the Prime Minister, Defence Minister, Home Minister, and several Chief Ministers expected to attend. Bhattacharya emphasized the significance of the event, stating that the government will be established on the land of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, a symbol of national unity.
Tomorrow marks a significant day for West Bengal as the new government takes shape, reflecting the dedication of BJP workers in the state over the past 15 years. Bhattacharya highlighted that the government represents the sacrifices of 312 BJP workers who have devoted themselves to the party’s cause. He also addressed Governor R.N. Ravi’s decision to dissolve the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, stating that it is a constitutional matter between Mamata Banerjee and the Governor, with no interference from the BJP.
In response to the tragic killing of Chandranath Rath, Personal Assistant to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, Bhattacharya mentioned ongoing police investigations into the incident. Rath was fatally shot while returning home from a party event in the Madhyamgram area of North 24 Parganas district. The incident, which occurred late Wednesday night, resulted in Rath sustaining multiple bullet wounds to his head, chest, and abdomen, leading to his unfortunate demise.
