After Nitin Nabin was elected as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President during the ‘Sangathan Parv’ event in New Delhi, party workers in Madhya Pradesh celebrated by exchanging greetings and sharing sweets. In Bhopal, a large gathering of party workers, including senior leaders, came together at the BJP headquarters to mark the occasion. They enjoyed sweets, danced to drumbeats, and cheered for the party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At the BJP office in Bhopal, the workers watched speeches by Prime Minister Modi and BJP’s National President Nitin Nabin. Following this, they moved outside and continued the celebration by sharing sweets and dancing. The event was attended by senior leaders of the Madhya Pradesh BJP unit, including Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, State party President Hemant Khandelwal, Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and other state party leaders.
Congratulating Nitin Nabin on his new role, Chief Minister Yadav praised his journey from a regular party worker to the party’s top organizational position. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitin Nabin, the BJP would strengthen, with party workers playing a crucial role in building a developed India.
Madhya Pradesh has a significant political history, being one of the first states where the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the BJP’s predecessor, gained prominence. The state has witnessed alternating tenures of Congress and BJP governments, with the BJP securing a significant victory in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections and winning all 29 Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 general elections.
