The controversy surrounding Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ajendra Singh Lodhi’s derogatory comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi escalated, leading to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers staging demonstrations in various parts of Uttar Pradesh. Particularly, the BJP’s Mahila Morcha vehemently demanded strong action against the MP for his offensive remarks. They insisted on a public apology from the lawmaker and urged for appropriate penalties for his misconduct.
In cities like Varanasi and Greater Noida, BJP workers, including the Mahila Morcha, marched in protest, displaying banners and chanting slogans, calling for accountability for the MP’s disrespectful behavior towards the Prime Minister. The demonstrators emphasized that insulting the Prime Minister was unacceptable and called for disciplinary measures against the SP MP.
The women protesters from the BJP’s Mahila Morcha condemned the SP MP’s comments as inappropriate and unacceptable, cautioning against personal attacks on the Prime Minister. They expressed deep shame over the abusive language used by the MP and demanded either a public apology or expulsion of the MP from the party, as per their statements during the protests.
In Greater Noida, a group of BJP workers, under the leadership of district president Abhishek Sharma, protested outside the district collectorate against SP MP Ajendra Lodhi. The controversy stemmed from Lodhi’s objectionable remarks about the Prime Minister during a party workers’ protest, where he labeled the Prime Minister as “anti-national” and launched a personal attack on him. This led to BJP workers organizing a counter-protest and filing a police complaint against the SP MP.
