BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha has urged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to step down and face an FIR under the Anti-Sacrilege Law due to a controversial video. Chadha revealed that the truth behind the video, allegedly hidden through a fake forensic report by the Punjab government, has now been exposed. He emphasized that doubts about the video’s authenticity have been dispelled.
Chadha accused the Aam Aadmi Party of offending religious sentiments and targeting religious institutions. He questioned Sikh legislators in the ruling party, urging them to choose between supporting Sikh principles or the Chief Minister. Chadha demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged tampering of forensic evidence, emphasizing the need for accountability and legal action.
The political atmosphere in Punjab remains tense following the uproar over a viral video depicting objectionable behavior with Sikh religious imagery. The Akal Takht labeled Bhagwant Mann as “anti-Sikh” in connection with the incident, escalating the political and religious tensions. The Punjab government had initially presented a forensic report claiming the video was doctored to defame the Chief Minister, but recent developments have revealed a broader conspiracy involving the manipulation of digital evidence.
