BMW Group India had a successful year in 2025, selling a record 18,001 cars, marking a 14% increase compared to the previous year. The sales figures surpassed the growth rate of India’s luxury car segment, indicating a strong demand for BMW and MINI vehicles in a competitive market. BMW accounted for 17,271 units of the total sales, while MINI contributed 730 cars to the figures.

In 2025, BMW Motorrad, the company’s motorcycle division, also performed well by delivering 5,841 motorcycles. The last quarter of the year was particularly impressive for BMW Group India, with car sales reaching 6,023 units, showing a 17% growth from the same period in the previous year.

BMW Group India’s consistent performance over the past four years has been attributed to strong brand loyalty and an increasing interest among Indian luxury car buyers. The company reported record sales every month and quarter in 2025, consistently outperforming the overall luxury car segment. Additionally, the sales of electric vehicles (EVs) saw a significant increase, with 3,753 units sold in 2025, marking a 200% surge from the previous year.

The acceptance of premium electric mobility was evident as EVs accounted for 21% of total sales in 2025, a substantial rise from the 8% share in the previous year. Models like the BMW i7 and BMW iX1 continued to lead their segments, with the iX1 emerging as the top-selling premium EV in India. The demand for long wheelbase models also soared, with sales increasing by 162% to 8,608 units year-on-year.

The portfolio of Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) remained popular, with SAV sales rising by 22% to 10,748 units. These vehicles constituted 60% of total sales, with the BMW X1 and BMW X5 being the preferred choices due to their versatility, performance, and road presence. MINI India, on the other hand, reported sales of 730 units in 2025, showing a modest 3% growth. The introduction of new variants like the MINI Convertible and MINI Countryman contributed to the demand, while the MINI Cooper S witnessed a robust 47% growth.
