Bollywood Celebrities Show Varied Participation in BMC Elections

The BMC elections witnessed a mix of Bollywood celebrities turning up to vote. While many well-known personalities exercised their voting rights, some notable figures were absent from the polling booths this time. Among those missing were Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Shah Rukh Khan and his family were also notably absent on election day. Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Ajay Devgn, and Farhan Akhtar were among the stars who did not appear at the elections. Similarly, Sonakshi Sinha, Kajol, Karan Johar, and Rani Mukerji were also absent from the voting process.

On the other hand, stars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and others were seen casting their votes. Notably, veteran personalities like Gulzar, Saira Banu, Hema Malini, and Shabana Azmi were also spotted at the voting booths exercising their democratic rights.

The BMC elections, covering 29 municipal corporations, commenced at 7.30 AM and concluded at 5.30 PM on January 15. The voting took place in various major cities of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, and others.
