The Jodhpur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court faced a bomb threat, leading to a security alert and evacuation of the court premises. An email warning of a potential explosion at the court complex was received by the High Court administration, prompting security agencies to take immediate control of the area. As a precautionary measure, lawyers, litigants, and staff were asked to vacate the courtrooms, which have now been cleared for intensive search operations.
Police teams, headed by DCP (West) Vineet Bansal, are conducting a detailed inspection of the building with bomb disposal and dog squads to identify any suspicious objects. The entire High Court complex is undergoing thorough security checks as part of the safety protocol. Due to security concerns, court proceedings have been temporarily suspended, with a notice indicating that judicial work will resume later.
To enhance security measures, the administration has implemented various directives, including mandatory ID verification for entry, allowing only individuals with valid identity cards or proof of identity. Additionally, there are heightened gate check arrangements with intensified security checks at all entry points and close monitoring of suspicious activities. The High Court and police authorities have requested full cooperation from lawyers’ associations and court officials in the ongoing investigation and security procedures.
