Widespread panic hit Patna as the district court in Sabji Bagh received a bomb threat, followed by a similar threat at the Civil Court in Gai Ghat. Both court premises were evacuated promptly, with police and security agencies conducting thorough searches. The threat at Gai Ghat Civil Court was particularly alarming as it was received directly on a judge’s mobile phone.
In a separate incident, threatening emails warning of bomb explosions were sent to Parliament House and nine schools in Delhi. The emails contained objectionable language and mentioned a specific time for the alleged explosion. Security agencies highlighted the symbolic significance of February 13, given the historical context of the 2001 Parliament attack on the same date. Security measures were heightened at various institutions, and investigations were launched to trace the origin of the threats.
Authorities are investigating the threats to determine their credibility and any potential connections to organized groups. Security has been reinforced at critical locations, and ongoing probes by central and state agencies are in progress. Recent incidents of bomb threats at various civil courts in Bihar have raised concerns, prompting a vigilant approach by law enforcement agencies.
