Mumbai, Aug 10 (IANS) Bosch Limited on Monday reported a sharp decline in its first-quarter profit, with consolidated net profit falling 36.7 per cent year-on-year to Rs 706.1 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27).

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,116.1 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year (Q1 FY26), according to its stock exchange filing.

Despite the decline in bottom-line performance, the technology and engineering major registered strong growth in revenue.

Revenue from operations rose 22 per cent to Rs 5,841.9 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 4,788.6 crore a year earlier.

The company’s operating performance remained robust during the reporting period. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 28.4 per cent to Rs 821.1 crore from Rs 639.3 crore in the year-ago quarter.

EBITDA margin improved to 14.1 per cent from 13.4 per cent, as per its regulatory filing.

Following the earnings announcement, Bosch shares ended the day at Rs 43,085 on the BSE, up 0.31 per cent or Rs 135.

Over the past five trading sessions, the stock has gained nearly 5 per cent, while it has risen about 3 per cent in the last month.

The stock has delivered stronger returns over a longer period, advancing more than 21 per cent in the last six months.

Bosch India is one of the country’s leading technology and services companies, operating through 12 group companies under the Bosch umbrella.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company has a significant presence in mobility solutions, software and engineering services, consumer goods, and energy-related businesses.

Mobility solutions remain the company’s largest business segment, encompassing diesel and gasoline systems, two-wheeler technologies, and steering and chassis systems.

Bosch also operates one of its largest development centres outside Germany through its software and engineering services arm, serving global and domestic clients.

Founded in 1951 and backed by Germany’s Robert Bosch GmbH, the company employs around 38,000 associates across its manufacturing facilities, research centres and software operations in India.
