Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao has accused the Congress government in Telangana of selling 9,300 acres of industrial land valued at nearly Rs 5 lakh crore. Rama Rao criticized the government for allegedly selling these lands, originally meant for employment generation, to private individuals instead of utilizing them for public benefit.

The controversy arose when Congress MP Karti P. Chidambaram questioned Infosys selling its land in Karnataka and urged the return of the land and proceeds to the Government of Karnataka if it was not used for its intended purpose. In response, Rama Rao reiterated his claim that the Telangana government is involved in a massive land scam.

Rama Rao emphasized the importance of utilizing the land for public welfare, such as building schools, hospitals, and housing for the underprivileged. He warned real estate developers against falling for the government’s alleged low-price offers for industrial lands and vowed to reclaim them if BRS comes back to power.
