A tragic incident in Mohali, Punjab, has revealed the brutal murder of a young woman employed at a private company. The accused, identified as Harvinder Mann, also a colleague, attempted suicide after the fatal stabbing. Despite being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, the woman, identified as Dimple from Patiala, succumbed to her injuries.
The police have launched an investigation into the case, registering it as a murder and initiating a comprehensive inquiry. Both the victim and the accused worked at the same firm specializing in packers and movers services for about three years. Their relationship, which started as a friendship and later turned romantic, ended in a breakup some time ago.
Harvinder’s unsuccessful attempts to reconcile with Dimple post-breakup led to mental distress, causing him to allegedly attack her at their workplace. The escalating dispute culminated in a frenzied knife attack by Harvinder on Dimple, witnessed by terrified colleagues. The police, upon being informed, swiftly responded, rushing both individuals to the hospital, where Dimple was pronounced dead.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of the Phase-11 Police Station in Mohali confirmed the young woman’s death and informed her parents. Legal proceedings are set to begin upon their arrival, with investigations ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack and delve into the history of the relationship between the victim and the accused.
