The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) recently organized a Demo Day for the second cohort of the ‘Samarth’ incubation programme, supporting 18 startups in the telecom and ICT sector. This program, divided into two six-month cohorts, aimed to assist a total of 36 startups in addressing innovative challenges in areas such as telecom applications, cybersecurity, 5G/6G technologies, AI, IoT, and quantum technologies. C-DOT collaborated with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and TiE for the program’s implementation.
The selected startups received financial grants of Rs 5 lakh each, office space, and access to advanced lab facilities at C-DOT’s Delhi and Bengaluru campuses. The program also provided mentorship by C-DOT scientists and acceleration sessions by industry leaders on various topics like product development, financial management, and Go-To-Market strategies. Additionally, legal aspects, IP issues, pitching, and fundraising were covered under the Samarth incubation programme.
C-DOT, an autonomous telecom R&D institution under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), witnessed successful outcomes from the first cohort’s Demo Day held in September 2025. Following this, the top five startups from Cohort-I, including Turtleneck Systems & Solutions, Purvanchal Engineering Systems, Vital Carbon, Agriverse Innovations, and Jumps Automation, were selected for the Stage-II grant. Cohort-II, launched in July 2025, focused on niche problem statements in AI, Li-Fi, Security, and drones, showcasing technological advancements that garnered praise from industry experts and investors.
