Cameron Nicholas Scott, riding for Li Ning Star of China, emerged victorious in the third stage of the Pune Grand Tour 2026 in Pune. Scott’s strong performance in a fierce sprint secured him the win after a challenging race. His teammate Luke Mudgway maintained the Yellow Jersey as the race leader heading into the final stage.
Dutch rider Viego Tijssen of Wielerploeg Groot Amsterdam retained the White Jersey for Best Young Rider, while Harshveer Singh Sekhon from the Indian National Team reclaimed the Blue Jersey as India’s Leading Performer. Scott’s final sprint edged out Georgios Bouglas of Burgos Burpellet BH, Spain, and Timothy Dupont of Tarteletto–Isorex, Belgium, who completed the podium.
In addition to his stage win, Scott’s acceleration in the final stretch proved crucial, with Clement Alleno of Burgos Burpellet BH claiming the Polka Dot Jersey for King of the Mountains. Despite not making the podium, Mudgway secured the Green Jersey for Best Sprinter and maintained his lead in the overall General Qualification standings.
After three stages, Mudgway leads the general classification with a slim 14-second advantage over Carter Alan Bettles of Roojai Insurance Winspace, Thailand. The race featured challenging climbs and intense competition, with riders forced into single file over exposed sections and battling crosswinds.
Scott acknowledged the toughness of the stage, noting the challenging climbs and relentless pace set by rival teams. The tour’s secondary classifications saw Jambaljamts Sainbayar of Burgos Burpellet BH holding onto the Orange Jersey for Best Asian Rider. The Pune Grand Tour now heads towards its conclusion with Stage Four, promising technical sections and a high-speed finish.
