Chaos unfolded near the Bhajanpura Metro Station in Northeast Delhi when a moving car suddenly caught fire. The driver, en route to an urgent task, saw smoke emerging from the vehicle, which quickly turned into a massive blaze, causing panic among onlookers. The Delhi Fire Services suspect a short circuit as the cause of the fire, with firefighters managing to control the flames after swift action.
Fortunately, the driver escaped unharmed as the car was engulfed in the fire, leaving it completely destroyed. The Fire Control Room received a distress call at 7:30 a.m., prompting a quick response from a fire department team that successfully extinguished the blaze. This incident follows a recent fire on May 15, where multiple vehicles were burnt in an MCD parking lot in Delhi’s Shahdara area, although no casualties were reported.
Videos circulating on social media captured the intense flames and thick smoke rising from the parking area, prompting police to cordon off the site for firefighting operations and crowd control.
