The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Deputy Superintendent of Police (Deputy SP) S.Y. Mohan, along with the son and daughter of late former MP D.K. Adhikesavalu, for their involvement in cheating, forgery of valuable security, government stamps, and seals. The arrests are linked to cases of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery of valuable security, government stamps and seals, destruction of evidence, and creation of false evidence. These cases were initiated by the CBI following orders from the High Court of Karnataka in connection with the death of realtor K. Ranganath and other related forgery cases. The arrested individuals were produced before the court after a medical examination. The CBI has filed a First Information Report (FIR) under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) based on suspected criminal activities related to the case. The complaint was lodged by M. Manjula, the wife of the deceased realtor, alleging that her husband was murdered by the accused. The FIR also mentions threats and harassment faced by the deceased regarding property transfers. The accused are accused of creating a fake will and fake stamp papers to take over the properties of the deceased.
