Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor expressed his positive stance on the increasing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in cooking. Kapoor highlighted that technology should be embraced rather than feared for its advancements. He emphasized the need to adapt to new technologies like AI to progress in the culinary world.
Kapoor, known for his iconic show “Khana Khazana,” revealed that one of the show’s directors, Hansal Mehta, is developing India’s first AI-powered cooking series called “Khana Dil Se.” Mehta shared that AI would not only serve as a visual and creative tool but also as a collaborator in storytelling, aiming to preserve food as a vital cultural heritage.
Mehta further elaborated on the cultural significance of cooking, emphasizing that preparing dishes from different cultures involves more than following a recipe; it entails immersing oneself in another’s life experiences. He described recipes as enduring cultural artifacts that encapsulate histories of migration, land, and familial traditions, providing a genuine insight into people’s identities.
