In a move to safeguard children from online sexual exploitation, the Central District Police in Delhi have apprehended 10 individuals. This operation aimed to combat the accessing, uploading, and sharing of Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM). The arrests followed a thorough analysis of digital clues and tips from an international cyber tip-line.
Dedicated police teams were formed across all police stations in the Central District to simultaneously target multiple suspects. The operation, overseen by Delhi’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rohit Rajbir Singh, was based on technical intelligence and electronic tracing. The accused were identified and captured through coordinated field operations conducted over five days.
Ten FIRs have been filed under the POCSO Act and the Information Technology Act at various Police Stations in the Central District. The arrested individuals were directly involved in the dissemination of CSEAM material. Their identities are being managed in line with the ongoing investigation and legal procedures. Mobile phones and digital devices used in the crimes have been confiscated and are undergoing forensic examination.
The investigation is ongoing, with technical experts analyzing seized electronic devices and tracking additional digital evidence. Legal proceedings are progressing, and internet activities are being closely monitored for potential further arrests. As forensic analysis continues, more arrests are anticipated in connection with these cases.
