Marking 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government, the central administration has released booklets highlighting its key achievements and initiatives. One such booklet, titled “From Empowerment to Prosperity,” focuses on empowering women, youth, farmers, and marginalized communities as the pillars of a developed India.
Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India revolves around four foundational pillars known as “GYAN”—Garib (Poor), Yuva Shakti (Youth), Annadata (Farmers), and Nari Shakti (Women). Empowering these groups is crucial for inclusive development and wider participation in India’s growth story, as per the booklet.
The booklet emphasizes women’s empowerment, citing measures like the abolition of Triple Talaq, increased women’s participation in various sectors, and the commitment to implementing 33% reservation for women. The government highlights the transformative impact of initiatives like the PM Ujjwala Yojana in creating smoke-free environments in households.
Financial inclusion is another significant achievement, with schemes like PM Jan Dhan Yojana bringing millions of women into the formal banking system. The report also recognizes the role of Self-Help Groups in promoting rural livelihoods and entrepreneurship, particularly empowering women economically through various programs.
