The MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) platform, initiated by the Centre, has become a significant digital endeavor engaging India’s youth. Launched in October 2023 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, MY Bharat aims to involve young individuals in nation-building activities. It provides more than 1.52 lakh volunteering opportunities in areas like cleanliness drives, blood donation, sports, disaster response, and community service as of June 2026.
MY Bharat serves as a connection point between educational institutions, government bodies, industries, and non-profit organizations. This digital platform enables millions of young Indians to access learning, volunteering, and career prospects through a unified interface. It offers comprehensive digital volunteer management, including online registration, attendance tracking, geo-tagging, certificate issuance, and impact assessment.
As of July 2026, MY Bharat hosts over 24,900 Experiential Learning Programmes (ELPs) to enhance hands-on learning experiences and boost workforce readiness. Additionally, the platform supports internships, apprenticeships, industry exposure, AI-powered resume creation, and mentorship to prepare youth for academic and professional endeavors.
The initiative by the government also focuses on promoting civic consciousness and leadership qualities among the youth. Through quizzes, competitions, and youth parliament programs emphasizing governance, the Constitution, public policy, and national concerns, MY Bharat aims to nurture informed and responsible citizens. The ‘MY Bharat MY Vote’ campaign encourages constitutional awareness and informed voting, particularly targeting first-time voters.
The National Youth Festival: Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, witnessed participation from over 50.42 lakh young individuals, making it one of the largest youth consultation events in the country. This dialogue provided a platform for young minds to discuss ideas and solutions towards realizing the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision. The Youth for Viksit Bharat – MY Bharat Youth Convention 2026 brought together more than 6,000 participants to celebrate the aspirations and accomplishments of the Amrit Peedhi. Additionally, the Nari Shakti Youth Parliament, conducted across 17 zones, engaged over 7,000 young women in democratic dialogues and policy deliberations.
