Tatum shared that a scene where the character Josephine is seen drawing through a window moved him to tears, evoking thoughts about his own childhood and parenthood. ‘Josephine,’ starring Tatum and Chan as parents struggling to comfort their daughter after a traumatic event, is based on a real-life experience of writer-director Beth de Araujo.
