Chennai Super Kings has revealed plans to establish a new academy center at KSR Educational Institutions in Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu. This initiative aims to enhance the cricket development program in the region by providing advanced training facilities to aspiring cricketers. The new center, set to begin operations on January 19, 2026, will offer state-of-the-art infrastructure and expert coaching to nurture young talent.
The Super Kings Academy, known for its extensive network of over 35 centers worldwide, is expanding its presence in Tamil Nadu with the addition of the Tiruchengode facility. This move underscores the academy’s dedication to fostering cricketing talent at the grassroots level across the state. The academy’s offerings include 2 turf pitches, 2 astro turf pitches, 3 matting pitches, grounds, a match simulation area, a bowling machine, floodlights for evening practice, and a gym with a swimming pool.
KS Viswanathan, the Managing Director of Chennai Super Kings, emphasized the importance of Tamil Nadu as a breeding ground for cricket talent.
