Padma Shri awardees from Chhattisgarh have voiced their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives promoting fuel conservation, indigenous products, healthy eating, natural farming, and pollution reduction. Usha Barle, a Padma Shri recipient, emphasized the importance of saving fuel and cutting unnecessary expenses. She highlighted the Prime Minister’s suggestion that pooling resources for travel can be more cost-effective and fuel-efficient.
Barle also endorsed Modi’s push for ‘Swadeshi’ products, encouraging the use of locally made goods. Stressing the significance of healthy eating, she echoed the Prime Minister’s advice on reducing oil consumption for improved well-being. Another Padma Shri awardee, Phoolbasan Bai Yadav, in Rajnandgaon, commended Modi’s initiatives on environmental protection, natural farming, and the promotion of indigenous items.
Yadav mentioned their group’s organic farming efforts involving 500 farmers utilizing cow dung manure and natural resources instead of chemical fertilizers. She expressed concerns over rising pollution levels and the need for sustainable practices. Appreciating government initiatives in various sectors, she acknowledged the efforts being made, particularly in schools.
