Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted the pivotal role of public servants in the government’s administrative and governance structure. He addressed newly appointed officials at the 15th Recruitment Fair, emphasizing that government jobs offer a unique opportunity to serve society beyond just a source of income. During the event, 4,623 candidates across seven departments received their appointment letters.
“In the governance and administrative system, the officers and employees are the true face of the government,” stated CM Majhi. He stressed the collective objective of ensuring that government benefits reach every individual in society, fostering the perception of a people-centric government. Majhi encouraged the new recruits to uphold the dignity of government service by earning the trust of the populace through dedicated service.
Highlighting the state’s focus on youth employment, Majhi revealed that since June 2024, over 44,000 individuals secured government jobs, with nearly 92,000 finding employment in the private sector. The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the new employees’ ability to fulfill their duties efficiently and transparently, urging them to adhere to key principles such as integrity, empathy towards public grievances, and alignment with government policies.
In his closing remarks, CM Majhi extended best wishes to the newly appointed staff, urging them to uphold the government’s zero-tolerance stance against corruption and promote respectful conduct towards women in their professional endeavors.
