Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has urged citizens from Maharashtra stranded in the UAE to seek information only from the official handles of the Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Indian consulate in Dubai. He emphasized the importance of contacting the government helpline for assistance.
The Chief Minister’s appeal follows increased efforts by the government to facilitate the return of stranded individuals. The Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi and the consulate in Dubai are actively engaging with the Indian community, providing updates and necessary support during the evolving situation in the Middle East.
In collaboration with the Indian People’s Forum in Dubai, the Maharashtra Government has shared a dedicated WhatsApp number for those requiring assistance. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde highlighted the successful repatriation of stranded citizens, facilitated by the cooperation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Shinde expressed satisfaction in aiding Maharashtra citizens in crisis, ensuring their safe return home and alleviating the stress faced by their families.
