Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the conclusion of the ‘Police Manthan-2025’ conference for senior police officers in Uttar Pradesh. He praised the force’s significant progress in the past eight-and-a-half years, emphasizing its shift towards proactive and predictive policing. Under his leadership, the Uttar Pradesh Police has become a symbol of fear for criminals and trust for citizens.
Yogi Adityanath shared his vision for ‘Smart Policing’, showcasing advancements in recruitment, training, infrastructure, cybersecurity, forensics, and the Police Commissionerate system. Notable improvements include the significant expansion of training capacity, with over 60,000 constables trained within the state. The state now boasts innovations such as cyber stations in all 75 districts, 12 Forensic Science Laboratories, and a dedicated Forensic University.
The Chief Minister attributed the state’s success in law and order to a zero-tolerance policy, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a global benchmark. Director General of Police Prashant Kumar expressed gratitude for Yogi Adityanath’s guidance, highlighting the leadership’s dedication to providing modern, citizen-centric services.
During the conference, discussions centered on various key areas, including beat policing and the introduction of the ‘Yaksh App’ powered by AI and Big Data. Sessions also covered topics like women and child safety initiatives, smart station management, cybercrime prevention, HRD and welfare schemes, prosecution, prisons, and the implementation of new criminal codes for data-driven policing.
