A group of Chinese nationals were observed filming in Techpara, Bangladesh, capturing slums, narrow lanes, and even inside homes. The individuals’ identities and motives remain unknown, causing unease among locals and authorities. Reports indicate that these vloggers have been documenting various aspects of the community, including incidents like fights and interactions with residents.

Mohammad Badal, a resident, mentioned instances where the Chinese vloggers entered homes without permission and recorded sensitive moments. The group’s fascination with local slums and lower-income households has sparked tensions in the area. Residents have expressed concerns over privacy violations, especially regarding women’s personal spaces and boundaries.

According to reports, the Chinese nationals have been engaging with local individuals, including paying girls to accompany them for video shoots. Their content often focuses on poverty-related themes, portraying themselves as benefactors assisting those in need. Allegations have surfaced regarding the vloggers’ connections to criminal activities such as cyber fraud, illegal gambling, and smuggling operations.

Monowar Begum, a long-time resident, highlighted the vloggers’ questionable practices and their impact on the community. The situation has raised alarms about potential exploitation and ethical boundaries being crossed by foreign nationals operating in the region.
