Chinese shuttlers excelled in the semifinals of the BWF World Series event at the 2026 Malaysia Masters, earning places in four finals. Li Shifeng triumphed over Hu Zhe’an in the men’s singles, while Chen Yufei dominated in the women’s singles against Hina Akechi. In women’s doubles, Chen Fanshutian and Luo Xumin overcame Bao Lijing and Cao Zihan to advance to the final.
Gao Jiaxuan and Wei Yaxin also advanced to the final in mixed doubles after a hard-fought victory against Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje. The Chinese shuttlers displayed exceptional skills in the quarterfinals as well, securing spots in the semifinals across various events. Notable performances included Hu Zhe’an defeating Jonatan Christie and Chen Yufei outplaying Pitchamon Opatniputh.
In women’s doubles, Bao Lijing and Cao Zihan overcame Chen Yan Fei and Sun Liang Ching, while Chen Fanshutian and Luo Xumin defeated Rin Iwanaga and Kie Nakanishi. The mixed doubles pair of Gao Jiaxuan and Wei Yaxin also showcased their prowess by defeating Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei. Guo Xinwa and Chen Fanghui secured a victory against Presley Smith and Jennie Gai of the United States.
