CID Conducts Raids at Trinamool Congress Offices in Kolkata

A team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the West Bengal Police conducted raids at a Trinamool Congress party office near Mamata Banerjee’s residence in Kalighat, Kolkata. Simultaneously, another CID team raided an office on Camac Street, where Abhishek Banerjee, the party’s General Secretary and Mamata Banerjee’s nephew, operated.
Initially, at the Kalighat office, CID officials faced resistance from Subhasish Chakraborty, a former Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha member in charge of the office. However, with the arrival of a joint forces contingent, the sleuths gained entry.
Meanwhile, at the Camac Street office, CID officials also encountered resistance but were able to enter after the local police arrived at the scene. Raids were ongoing at both locations at the time of reporting.
