Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has been discharged from Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after a 26-day hunger strike. Wangchuk expressed gratitude to the medical team and announced his plan to visit Rajghat to honor Mahatma Gandhi before returning home to Ladakh.
In a video message, Wangchuk shared his recovery progress and his intention to pay respects to Gandhi before heading back to Ladakh. He thanked the doctors, hospital staff, and well-wishers for their support during his hospital stay.
Following his discharge, Wangchuk welcomed the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET question paper leak. He termed it a “victory for democracy” and urged for educational and governance reforms in India. Wangchuk praised the student protests and emphasized the importance of upholding democratic values.
