Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed state authorities to ensure a fair and stress-free environment for NEET exam candidates. He stressed the importance of preventing malpractice and highlighted security protocols, including CCTV monitoring and cybersecurity measures. Fadnavis also emphasized the use of social media for accurate information dissemination and prompt clarification of any misinformation.

During a review meeting, the Chief Minister focused on examination centers in Pune and Latur, emphasizing the need for heightened vigilance due to their educational significance. The directives aim to coordinate efforts among various agencies for security, traffic management, and monsoon preparedness. Abhishek Singh from the NTA presented details on the exam centers, facilities, and security arrangements in Maharashtra.

The directives follow concerns over the 2026 paper leak incident and subsequent exam cancellation. Pune and Latur, known for their educational prominence, face increased scrutiny to prevent malpractices. The mention of monsoon preparedness underscores the state’s logistical challenges during heavy rains. Local authorities are on standby to ensure students face no disruptions in reaching their exam centers on time.
