The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has written to climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, requesting him to end his 25-day hunger strike. The strike aims to push for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following the NEET paper leak. The CJP acknowledged Wangchuk’s sacrifice, emphasizing the need for him to prioritize his health.

In a letter to Wangchuk, the CJP assured that the movement would persist beyond his hunger strike. Founder Abhijeet Dipke affirmed that the protests would continue until their demands for examination justice are met. Dipke, through a video shared on his official X account, urged Wangchuk to conclude his fast, highlighting the risks to his life after 25 days without food.

Dipke pledged that the agitation would endure even after Wangchuk ends his hunger strike. He emphasized a peaceful continuation of the protest until Pradhan steps down as the Union Education Minister. Dipke stressed the adherence to nonviolent protest methods, aligning with the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and BR Ambedkar in their demonstration.

In a separate letter to Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and Minister of State Jitendra Singh, Wangchuk expressed readiness to end the fast if the government guarantees no action against the protesters. This assurance was linked to the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march held on July 20.
