On Rashtriya Swabhiman Diwas, Colonel Ritesh Mohan, Commanding Officer of the 23 Bihar Battalion, praised the strengthening of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He emphasized efforts to implement the PM’s vision at the grassroots level. Most NCC cadets in Bihar and Jharkhand are from Generation Z, with a focus on building self-confidence and patriotism among them.
Colonel Mohan underlined that NCC aligns with PM Modi’s principles of unity and discipline, emphasizing the cadets’ role in nation-building. He described NCC as a symbol of national pride, shaping disciplined citizens. With around 3,000 cadets per battalion, including nearly 40% girls, efforts are ongoing to expand outreach to more schools.
Highlighting the impact of leadership since 2014, Colonel Mohan noted the NCC’s empowerment under PM Modi. He stressed the positive results of guiding youth in the right direction, enhancing their confidence and channeling their energy productively. NCC’s focus on confidence-building and awareness of future opportunities benefits cadets from diverse backgrounds, fostering unity and self-assurance.
Colonel Mohan reiterated NCC’s commitment to instilling unity and discipline among youth by implementing the PM’s vision at the grassroots level. He suggested exploring startup ideas in the future and expressed satisfaction with the government’s budget allocation for NCC.
