A high-level committee with specialists from AIIMS and AIIMS Jodhpur conducted a thorough inspection of the New Hospital at Kota Medical College and J.K. Lon Hospital. The inspection aimed to investigate recent maternal deaths and cases of kidney failure. The team scrutinized various hospital sections, interacted with patients and staff, and reviewed patient histories and treatment protocols.

The committee, led by Dr. Rita Mahe from AIIMS Delhi, included experts from various medical fields. They closely examined the patient care process, from admission to discharge, and questioned medical staff on treatment procedures. The inspection also covered infrastructure conditions, cleanliness, and patient care systems in detail.

Following discussions between Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, the inquiry was initiated to address the concerning maternal mortality issue in Kota. The committee is set to submit its findings to the Central Government within the next few days. The inspection involved a comprehensive review of hospital facilities and patient care practices to identify the underlying causes of the recent health crises.
