Mani Shankar Aiyar also highlighted Rajiv Gandhi’s visionary outlook for the nation, expressing concern over the current challenges to his dream.
Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Leader of Opposition in the Haryana Assembly, lauded Rajiv Gandhi’s strong vision for India, particularly focusing on the aspirations of the younger generation. Srinivas B.V., another Congress leader, commemorated Rajiv Gandhi’s Sadbhavana Diwas, emphasizing the enduring impact of his contributions on the country.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devender Yadav acknowledged Rajiv Gandhi’s transformative initiatives during his tenure as Prime Minister, crediting him with ushering in the computer and digital revolutions. Yadav emphasized the need to draw inspiration from Rajiv Gandhi’s leadership and achievements for the nation’s progress.
Rajiv Gandhi, who became Prime Minister in 1984 after his mother Indira Gandhi’s assassination, was known for his youth-centric policies and forward-looking approach. His life was tragically cut short when he was assassinated by an LTTE suicide bomber during an election rally in 1991.
