Congress National President, Mallikarjun Kharge, praised the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, stating it as a win for the youth, families who suffered losses, and the united Opposition advocating for students’ interests.
Kharge highlighted the significance of the youth’s activism in demanding educational reforms, attributing the resignation to their collective efforts nationwide. He emphasized the importance of truth prevailing over political obstinacy, acknowledging the sacrifices made by families due to alleged corruption.
Kharge called for Prime Minister Modi to apologize to the younger generation and take stringent actions against those responsible for the use of force during student protests. Meanwhile, Pradhan, in his resignation letter, expressed concern over recent events and aimed to prevent any exploitation by anti-national elements amidst examination controversies.
Pradhan’s resignation, seen as a response to safeguard exam integrity and students’ welfare, follows widespread protests demanding accountability for exam irregularities and leaks in various parts of the country.
