Strategies to boost the Congress in Rajasthan and Delhi were the focus of a training camp led by General Secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal in Ajmer. District Congress Committee Presidents from both states were briefed by Venugopal to enhance their grassroots connections and promote the party’s message at every level.
Venugopal emphasized the importance of the training camp for the newly appointed DCC Presidents, aiming to fortify the party’s grassroots leadership. The Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan initiative is energizing district-level leaders, enhancing their commitment to strengthen the party’s electoral influence.
Under this initiative, 370 DCC Presidents will receive training through seven camps, empowering them to deepen their grassroots ties and disseminate the party’s message effectively. Venugopal also highlighted party leader Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the fuel price hike, expressing concerns over the economic impact on the public.
Venugopal, in a social media post, shared Gandhi’s remarks on the continuous rise in petrol and diesel prices post-elections, emphasizing the burden on the public. Additionally, Venugopal chaired the first meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (2026-27), stressing the need for a more cooperative and prompt response to audits from the C&AG to address the backlog in the Audit Para Monitoring System.
