The Congress is gearing up to kick off a significant nationwide campaign focusing on various issues impacting India’s youth, such as paper leaks, examination irregularities, unemployment, and recruitment-related challenges. The campaign is scheduled to begin on June 17 in Rajasthan’s Kota district, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi engaging directly with students and exam aspirants. All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal announced that Rahul Gandhi will address student conventions in multiple cities nationwide, starting from Kota and moving on to Allahabad, Patna, and Delhi in the first phase.
The Congress has raised concerns about recurring exam paper leaks, recruitment exam irregularities, and the escalating unemployment rate that are posing threats to the future of numerous young Indians. Through this initiative, the party aims to mobilize students, job seekers, educators, and youth organizations to address these issues at a national level. The campaign, under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, seeks to highlight challenges faced by the youth, including paper leaks, rising exam costs, recruitment discrepancies, and the need for a transparent education and recruitment system.
Kota District Congress President Rakhi Gautam and Kota Rural Congress President Bhanu Pratap Singh highlighted that Kota, a renowned coaching hub, was chosen as the starting point for this nationwide movement. They mentioned that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kota was prompted by an invitation extended during a recent conference in Pushkar. The campaign is expected to provide a platform for students across the country to voice their concerns regarding education and employment issues, with preparations already underway and an AICC team inspecting potential venues in Kota.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his support for the campaign, emphasizing the Congress’ commitment to launching a nationwide movement against the deficiencies in the education system under the Narendra Modi government. Gehlot reiterated that the Congress, led by Rahul Gandhi, would organize major rallies in Kota, Allahabad, Patna, and Delhi to mobilize students nationwide. He affirmed the party’s unwavering dedication to fighting for quality education, employment opportunities, and the future of India’s youth.
