The consumer affairs ministry has received approximately 100 complaints from passengers regarding IndiGo flight ticket cancellations, refunds, and compensation, as stated by Secretary Nidhi Khare. These complaints were registered on the National Consumer Helpline and have been passed on to Air Seva, the government’s air travel grievance redressal platform.
During an event marking National Consumers Day, Khare mentioned that numerous passengers expressed concerns about flight cancellations, delays in refunds, and receiving only partial refunds in some instances, which they deemed unfair. The ministry has forwarded all complaints to the aviation regulator for necessary actions.
