The death of Twisha Sharma, 33, at her matrimonial home in Bhopal has sparked controversy. Her family accuses her husband and in-laws of mental and physical abuse, dowry harassment, and interfering with the investigation. Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajnish Kashyap addressed these allegations, stating that the police are following procedures step by step.
Twisha’s family also claims that the police failed to promptly document the recovery of the object she used to hang herself, alleging an intentional effort to weaken the case. ACP Rajnish Kashyap clarified that the noose was seized from the crime scene on the day of the incident but was not submitted during the post-mortem examination, leading to an ongoing investigation.
Questions have been raised about the handling of evidence and procedures following Twisha’s death. A detailed inquiry is underway to address these concerns, including the transportation of Twisha’s body to the hospital without police presence. The police are actively investigating all aspects of the case, including allegations made by Giribala Singh regarding Twisha’s alleged drug addiction.
