Two convicts serving life sentences in Rajasthan’s high-profile murder cases are set to wed after developing a relationship in Jaipur’s open jail. The bride, Priya Seth (33), was convicted in the 2018 murder of Dushyant Sharma, while the groom, Hanuman Prasad alias Jack (32), is serving time for killing five family members in 2017.
The couple, granted parole by the District Parole Advisory Committee following court directions, met in Sanganer’s Open Jail a year ago. Their relationship blossomed over time, leading to a decision to marry. The wedding ceremonies are taking place in Alwar district, as per the invitation card presented to the High Court.
The three-day wedding includes traditional rituals like the engagement ceremony and “Chak Bhat.” The groom, Hanuman Prasad, was involved in the brutal killing of five family members, while the bride, Priya Seth, was convicted for using a honey-trap to murder Dushyant Sharma. The upcoming marriage has garnered public attention due to its unusual prison origin.
