The charred bodies of a couple, suspected to be government schoolteachers, were discovered inside their locked residence in Seoni district, Madhya Pradesh. The deceased are believed to be Malti Dhurve, a teacher at a government school in Kumhada village, and her husband Saman Singh Dhurve, a teacher in Damijhola, Mohbarra. Due to the severe burns, their identities will be confirmed through DNA testing.
Family members and relatives, unable to reach the couple for two days, found the bodies after entering the locked house. The bodies, along with a bed, a cooler, and household items, were completely burnt. Investigators suggest the incident may have occurred around two days before the discovery, raising questions about the intensity of the fire in a locked house without any prior notice.
Authorities are exploring all possibilities, including accidental fire, suicide, or homicide, as the cause of death remains uncertain. The police, along with forensic teams, are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the sequence of events leading to the tragic deaths.
