The Cricket Regulator announced that England captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson will face no further action following an investigation into the events of June 7–8. The inquiry found no evidence of regulatory misconduct by the duo, who were previously stood down from the second Test against New Zealand.

Stokes and Atkinson were involved in a nightclub incident after England’s victory at Lord’s. The independent body overseeing ECB regulations concluded that there was insufficient evidence to prove any breach had occurred. Consequently, both players have been cleared of any wrongdoing.

With the investigation closed, Stokes and Atkinson are now free of any regulatory charges. They will resume playing for their respective teams in the upcoming series-deciding Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge, starting on Thursday.
